In Flora’s Art Room, every Experience (about 1.5/2 hours long) is shaped around a theme, and includes three parts: one INTRO with a creative warm-up activity involving Flora’s adventures, one part of ART APPRECIATION, and one part of ART MAKING. (Read more about it in the previous blog post).
Today's theme is GAMES.
1. INTRO.
What's your favorite game? Why do you like it?
Is it something you play with others or by yourself?
Sketch a scene!
2. ART APPRECIATION.
Analyze the different atmospheres, situations, and settings of these three masterpieces: 'Marble Champion' by Norman Rockwell (1939), 'Children Playing on the Beach' by Mary Cassatt (1884), 'The Domino Players' by Horace Pippin (1943).
3. ART MAKING.
- Create your empty board and the 5 senses dice (download your free printable pdf of both templates!)
- Throw the dice and draw one thing related to that sense
- Fill all the spaces of your board from start to finish, one roll at a time!
